To truly thrive and lead successfully in today’s complex social and business environments, leaders and individuals must learn to tap into the innate intelligence of their head, heart, and gut.

How do we as coaches ‘go beyond’ the head ego with our clients?

The latest research from the fields of neuroscience, positive psychology and behavioural modelling informs us that we have at least 3 separate intelligences operating in our bodies, our head, heart and gut. This research also shows that the neurological make-up of the heart and gut is similar to that of our head brain.

This workshop introduces mBraining, a new field of human development and understanding that considers some implications of this neuroscience.

Identifying the prime functions of the head as cognitive perception, thinking and making meaning, the heart as emoting, relational affect and valuing, and the gut as core identity, self-preservation and mobilisation brings a clarity to how and ‘where’ we explore potential issues with our clients.

Participants will gain an appreciation for the value of connecting with the highest expressions of our intelligences; creativity, compassion and courage and how these impact on coaching. They will also learn about the process for aligning our three intelligences to bring about ecological goal-oriented outcomes. When one or more of our ‘brains’ are not aligned it can lead to internal conflict, stress, bad decision making and unhappiness. Using mBraining for alignment assists with resolving these issues. If you think about where some of your best decisions come from, is it your head, or do you ‘go with your heart’ or have you ‘followed your gut instinct’?

We align our intelligences by becoming coherent. There will be a demonstration of how to get into coherence and balance using biofeedback technology. People will be able to volunteer to use this. The group will be lead through an activity to demonstrate how listening to the heart and gut can impact decisions, goals, relationships, as each person focuses on what they individually want more insight on.

Dara Caryotis, a professional trainer and executive coach, is inspired by working with people. Dara specialises in working with individuals and managers who have demanding lives, juggling many responsibilities, to help them realise their true potential, create balance, and achieve what they want.

Dara studied Computing, and was a Professional Services Manager for a global Information Technology company for thirteen years.  She then followed her passion for people development and became a CIPD qualified professional trainer in all aspects of learning and talent development and management. Given her professional experience working with people and teams, coaching and mentoring came naturally to her. She formalised this by becoming an ILM executive coach, NLP Master Practitioner and mBIT Master coach and Trainer.  Dara is one of the first 70 mBIT coach trainers globally.
