Coaching in war zones and other intense environments with Mark Walsh

Times: 18h15 Registration and Networking

18h45 Session begins and finishes at 20h15

DOOR SALES - £25.00 CASH

Embodiment specialist, Mark Walsh will lead a practical session that will give you the knowledge and tools to work in war zones—not just literal war zones (although Mark has worked in several of those), but any intense environment.

You will learn how important body awareness, breathing, posture and movement are in such settings. You will gain tried and tested techniques, illustrated by examples from around the world. These will benefit both you and your clients, and can be used immediately. We will consider trauma, safety, ethics and resilience.

The learning will very much be experiential. There will be a chance for audience members to try out several practical, embodied techniques, such as centring.

•           Learn principles for working in intense environments, from corporate to warzones

•           Gain techniques for staying calm under pressure that you can teach clients

•           Understand how trauma affects coaching and training

Mark Walsh has dedicated his life to embodied learning. He founded the Embodied Facilitator Course, Embodied Yoga Principles, Purpose Black Belt and Integration Training. He has taught in over twenty-five countries and made embodiment available online through a YouTube channel that has gained nearly 10 million hits. He has a degree in psychology, an aikido black-belt and has trained with various body-mind masters (such as Richard Strozzi-Heckler, Paul Linden and Wendy Palmer) and in various approaches, including Non Violent Communication, body psychotherapy and meditation. His clients have included Unilever, L’Oreal, Virgin Atlantic, AXA, Shell, Newfield coach training, Liberty Global, Sussex University and The House of Lords. He has also worked with peace and trauma projects in Israel/Palestine, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the slums of Brazil, East Africa and with the Sierra Leonian Army.
